The Lost Flip Flop

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lost Flip Flop! Met our needs with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. We had missed that there is another rental on the bottom floor and so were a little concerned when we saw other people on arrival, but it never was an issue at all. I do wish there had been a vacuum in the closet to make cleaning during the week a bit easier, but overall this was a great place for our family to stay for the beach and fishing all week. Would stay again!

So loved the house and our stay

We enjoyed our stay at the Lost Flip Flop. The home was very accommodating and spacious. I loved the front patio. The walk to the beach was not bad at all. We enjoyed our stay.

Our family loves St George Island as it holds a special place in our hearts. We choose The Lost Flip Flop as our place to stay this year. Very spacious layout with plenty of space for us to be together or separate. Close walk to the beach and to the bay. Property was enclosed enough so that the dogs felt comfortable being away from home while outside. Several days were very windy so we did sunbathing on the deck. Kitchen had everything we needed, washer/dryer combo worked well (we used time dry versus preset modes), charcoal grill was a plus, and the location had a nice fire pit. We have already suggested to friends and put this on our return to list.

We love this rental property and will continue to stay here from now on. It is affordable, spacious and only a 2 min. walk to the beach (1 1/2 short blocks). It has been remodeled (last yr.), is well kept,the kitchen is very well stocked,there is a new fire pit in the back yard,it is spacious and perfect for families as it easily accommodates 10 people. Suncoast is easy to work with and we have had nothing but good experiences with them. This is a wonderful place and we highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful time with family we rented upstairs and downstairs. Worked out really well for the 13 of us. It could use some new mattresses on the twin bed. None of the kids would sleep on them.

Our family of 8 adults had a good vacation at the Lost Flip Flop. Only down points were a couple encounters with the largest beetle ever discovered, and the uncomfortable twin beds two of us had to use. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and easy to use. Nice porches with room for everyone. Short 3-block walk to the beach and to bayside for sunsets. h h hBut

Great Rental!

The Lost Flip Flop was a great place to stay in St. George. Super roomy, plenty of towels, kitchen well supplied with anything you may need for cooking (blender, toaster, pots/pans, etc). We loved our stay here and plan to come again.

We hate to leave this wonderful house and SGI, but we will be returning to this property in November. Looking forward to it already

This has been the nicest house we have ever stayed in. It is close to the beach 2 blocks away and and on a very quiet street. It is fully furnished and we didn't want for any piece of equipment in the kitchen. I would recommend this house to anyone who comes to St.George Island.

This house is a wonderful find. It was a joy to stay in. For us there were two draw backs.We couldn't see the beach and when we got here there was only streaming on the tv. We are not tech knowledgeable. But Sun Coast and the owners worked with us and we got this bump solved. Over all a great place to stay.

We just love this house. It sleeps 10 and has everything you need in the large kitchen. It has new owners who are fabulous/fantastic/caring people who do everything to make your stay a very happy one. They have done a great job at remodeling and painting and decorating and fixing up this property and the short distance to the beach is easy. The other nice/unusual thing is that if a large group needs more space or beds, they have a two-bedroom unit downstairs that sleeps 4 and it is also newly remodeled and very nice. We have already reserved for next year and hope to continue to stay here for the remainder of our years visiting SGI. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.

Stayed at Lost Flip Flop for a week. The house had been recently updated with new paint and other fixtures that made it ver comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, pots and pans and other accessories. Access to beach was easy - 2 block walk. Would stay there again.

Was clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to make meals. It isn’t on the beach but is just a short walk. There is an outdoor shower to rinse off after a day at the beach and a large deck and screened in porch for enjoying the outdoors. Would stay here again.

Short walk from the beach access, short drive from all the action (restaurants), wonderful walkable neighborhood which was ideal for my pup and me, and a fabulous layout inside and out! Did I mention the INCREDIBLE porches, yes, I said porches, as in plural. The covered porch was incredible to sit out on during the day (it's screened), and the front porch was perfect to have a cup of coffee and a nice beverage in the evening (or catch some sun if I didn't want to go to the beach). The house is nicely appointed, it's clean, fresh, updated, and it felt homey and welcoming. Everything I wanted/needed was in the well-stocked kitchen, and the piggly wiggly grocery was just down the road! When I didn't want to cook, there were a variety of restaurants to choose from right on the island, or if I wanted to drive a bit further, I could go over the bridge ~20 min and have a larger selection. The wi-fi is POWERFUL (enough to have video calls - yes, I worked from here!), and the streaming on the tv was more than sufficient! I wish I lived closer so I could stay here more regularly because it's just such a lovely escape and getaway. I will be back without a doubt!

This house was the perfect long weekend getaway destination for friends. You can't beat the location - only 2 blocks from the beach! The house had plenty of room for everyone to stay comfortably with 4 bedrooms, and we loved the beachy decor. The hosts were very responsive and friendly. We'd definitely stay here again!

We loved our time at The Lost Flop Flop! You can't beat the location, the house is steps away from the beach. The grocery store, shops, restaurants, and retail are also just a short walk away. The house itself was clean, comfortable, and so spacious. We had plenty of room in each bedroom and also enjoyed the big living space and patio/porch areas. The house came equipped with all necessary kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom gadgets - allowing us to feel right at home during our stay. I definitely recommend staying at The Lost Flip Flop - and I can't wait for my next visit!
